Tata Motors has released the first teaser video of its upcoming Tata Nexon EV Max Dark edition SUV. Looking at the teaser video, the upcoming Tata Nexon EV Max Dark edition is likely to sport some upgrades over the standard variant.
We expect the upcoming Tata Nexon EV Max Dark edition electric SUV to sport the brand’s ‘#Dark’ treatment which includes a gloss black exterior shade, blacked-out design elements, a darker interior theme, and a few ‘#Dark’ badges.
A more careful look at the teaser video reveals that the upcoming Tata Nexon EV Max Dark edition electric SUV will sport the larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the updated 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari SUVs.
Speaking about the Tata Nexon EV Max, the electric SUV packs a larger 40.5kWh battery pack, and the claimed range of the model stands at 437km, which is 125km more than the standard variant of the Tata Nexon EV.

In addition to that, Tata Motors has equipped the Tata Nexon EV Max with a more powerful 143bhp electric motor with 250Nm of peak torque to compensate for the additional weight of the larger battery pack. Furthermore, the Tata Nexon EV Max sports retuned suspension and upgraded brakes as well.
Thanks to this uprated powertrain, the performance figures of the Tata Nexon EV Max have improved over the Tata Nexon EV and the 100km/h sprint from a standstill now takes just 9 seconds and the top speed is rated at 140km/h.
In terms of charging, the Tata Nexon EV Max comes with a 3.3kW AC charger as standard, but customers have the option to upgrade to a more powerful 7.2kW charger. This upgrade will reduce the charging time from 15-16 hours to just 5-6 hours.
Noticeable features on the Tata Nexon EV Max include ventilated front seats, wireless charger, air purifier, electronic parking brake, auto-hold function, variable regenerative braking, cruise control, hill descent control, ESP and more.
At present, prices for the Tata Nexon EV Max starts from Rs 16.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the base ‘XM’ variant, and goes all the way up to Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the XZ+ LUX variant with 7.2kW fast charger.
