Tata Nexon EV Max is all geared up to take on a challenging journey from Srinagar (Kashmir) to Kanyakumari (K2K). Moreover, this K2K drive is scheduled to start on 25th February.
Diving into details, this 4,000km journey is said to take 4 days to complete and plans to create record for the fastest K2K drive in an EV. Furthermore, the Tata Nexon EV Max SUV has to endure harsh weather conditions along with difficult terrain.
With this expedition, Tata Motors aims to show the prowess of its electric vehicles and also highlight Tata Power’s enhanced highway charging infrastructure. By doing this, Tata Motors is trying to create a positive image of EVs and break the stereotype that portrays EVs as city cars.
Speaking about the Tata Nexon EV Max, the electric SUV is the long-range version of the Tata Nexon EV electric SUV and thanks to its larger battery pack (40.5kWh), the claimed range of the new Tata Nexon EV Max electric SUV is rated at 453km.
It is worth mentioning that the larger battery pack on the new Tata Nexon EV Max is around 70kgs heavier than the battery pack on the standard variant of the Tata Nexon EV and the overall weight of the Tata Nexon EV Max is 100kgs heavier than the standard model.
To overcome the performance deficit due to the additional weight, the Tata Nexon EV Max comes equipped with a more powerful 143bhp electric motor with 250Nm of peak torque. Thanks to this uprated powertrain, the electric SUV in question can hit 100km/h from a standstill in just 9 seconds.
Furthermore, the top speed of the Tata Nexon EV Max is rated at 140km/h. That being said, the Tata Nexon EV Max takes just 56 minutes to charge from 0 per cent to 80 per cent of battery capacity using a 50kW DC fast charger.
