The four-time F1 Champ is a proud partner of P1 Fuels, making this his greenest drive yet.
Four-time F1 Champion Sebastian Vettel will be one of the many participants in the hill climb activities at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Vettel will be running with sustainability in mind as he will use P1 Fuels' 100 percent fossil-free, synthetic fuel for his hill climb.
The two cars lined up for Vettel are F1 cars from his private garage, including the 1992 season-winning Williams FW14B driven by Nigel Mansell and the 1993 McLaren MP4/8 piloted by Ayrton Senna. Despite using synthetic fuel, both cars will run the hill climb without mechanical changes.

“It's great to be coming back to Goodwood after all these years,” said Vettel. “I can't wait to get behind the wheel of some of my most memorable cars, which will be running on sustainable fuel over the weekend.”
When Vettel retired last season, he said there were still things that needed to be done off-track that would impact the future generation, and championing more environmentally friendly alternatives could be one. The Goodwood Festival of Speed is a good place to do so, for its popularity globally.
Vettel isn't the only one driving up the hill using environment-friendly cars. Porsche will be bringing a fleet of Porsche 911s running on e-Fuel.

F1 teams have also confirmed their attendance at the festival. The list includes the McLaren F1 Team, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team, Scuderia Ferrari F1 Team, and Williams Racing. A dedicated F1 Pit Lane will be present where eventgoers can get close to magnificent machines, engineers, and drivers.
In addition to using sustainable fuel, cars with fully-electric powertrains will join the fray. One is the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, a more performance-oriented version that will debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from July 13 to July 16.
Later this year, Vettel will be arriving at the Nurburgring to drive the RB7 he brought to victory in the 2011 season. Like his F1 cars bound for Goodwood, the RB7 will conquer the famed German track using its Renault-sourced V8 on synthetic fuel.
