Not many got the Zagato treatment.
The Porsche Carrera GT is already a highly sought-after car for collectors, but this particular Carrera GTZ is even more special. It boasts a unique interior designed by Zagato – the company that built the Zagato Z06, a sports car based on the seventh-generation Chevrolet Corvette.
Carhuna is offering the fourth of five production units, which received the complete Zagato interior package between 2018 and 2019. It has a price guide of $1.9 to $2.2 million, a projection set to surpass the standard Porsche Carrera GT, which got over $1 million as the highest bid back in 2021.
Before being customized with Zagato interior, the car was one of the 676 examples that arrived in the US and were ordered as new to McKenna Porsche of Los Angeles with a pre-delivery inspection conducted in May 2005.

The documents acquired by Carhuna noted that the vehicle had two owners and incurred damage to the front bumper and rear panel in November 2010. The car was repaired before being exported to the UK in 2011.
The vehicle was exclusively serviced by Porsche Carrera GT master technician Craig Mayo in the UK and was serviced annually at Porsche Reading from 2013 to 2018. Then it was shipped to Italy, where the Zagato interior conversion took place for six months from 2018 to 2019.
The car was stripped back to a rolling chassis and repainted in a bespoke dark metallic green. The wheels are finished in graphite, while the brake calipers were applied with a gloss black color.

The full Zagato interior package includes seats with an embossed Z trim and a new transmission tunnel. It also features custom design on the center console, gear lever, door cars, A-pillar, and sun visors.
The total cost for the exterior modification is around $441,000, while the Zagato interior conversion cost was not disclosed.
The vehicle was subjected to a full inspection ahead of sale. The report indicated a perished door seal, reverse light switch, and visual damage to the wheel nuts. The said items have since been replaced.
The auction will start on July 14 and run for a week. The Porsche Carrera GTZ will also be displayed at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed.
