Not necessarily the fastest runs, but definitely some of the most entertaining.
While the Goodwood Festival of Speed's Saturday leg was canceled due to bad weather, the Sunday edition had plenty of great moments and interesting cars. There are many to choose from, but some rides and their runs stood out more than the rest. These aren't the fastest runs up the hill – that's a different article entirely – but some of the most entertaining for various reasons, ranging from competitive entries to merely exhibition runs, replete with mid-course donuts.
To begin, Mick Schumacher, son of seven-time F1 world champion Micheal Schumacher, wowed the crowds by piloting his father's Mercedes-Benz W0 F1 car in a matching tribute helmet. Being a former F1 driver (and current Mercedes reserve), Mick did a bang-up job of entertaining the Goodwood crowds. He even stopped halfway around to let the engine sing the song of his people – literally playing the German national anthem before he performed donuts and went on his merry way again.
Another beast that stretched its muscles on the famous Goodwood track was the McMurtry Speirling. If that name sounds familiar, it's the same “Batmobile-esque” car that smashed the Hill Climb record in 2022. However, on the Sunday edition of the FOS, it made an arguably more relaxed appearance by performing plenty of electric-powered burnouts, disabling the immense suction of its downforce fan to let the rear end break loose with reckless abandon.
Making a return to the seat of an F1 car was the four-time F1 world champion, Sebastian Vettel. But instead of hopping into contemporary machinery, he drove the screaming, V10-powered Williams FW14B from his personal collection. The sound it produced was nothing short of ecstasy for long-time F1 fans, but best of all, it was all carbon neutral as Vettel ran the car on synthetic fuel.

We can't mention all the wonderful machines that ran Goodwood FOS' Sunday edition. But to wrap it up, another that made an appearance were two Ducati world champions, the Aston Martin DBX707, and a LeMans-winning Ford Escort Cosworth.
Travis Pastrana performed a couple of runs with his 862-horsepower Subaru GL Family Huckster, which ended up being one of the quickest cars up the hill but also put on quite the show in doing so, going very sideways at some points on the course.
And those were just the runs in Goodwood's official video above. Those in attendance were able to witness the Koenigsegg Jesko in action (below) and even a hydrogen-powered V12 BMW concept called the H2R.
