At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Maserati will debut their two new V8 powered cars, the Ghibli 334 Ultima and the Levante V8 Ultima. The Festival of Speed will take place from the 13th of July till the 16th of July. The cars will be displayed at the First Glance Paddock.
Both cars, the Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultime and Maserati Levante V8 Ultima, are powered by the same engine. It comes with a V8 twin-turbocharged engine block that produces 564bhp. These two cars of Maserati will be the final V8 grand-tourers from their lineup.
The Maserati Ghibli 334 has a top speed of, can you guess? As the name suggests, 334km/h (207mph) is the top speed of the Ghibli, making it the fastest internal combustion engine sedan. The Ghibli will also have a run up the hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The two cars will also be on display at the Festival’s First Glance Paddock. In terms of design, the Ghibli 334 Ultima and Levante V8 Ultima comes with the ‘V8 Ultima’ lettering on the wings and the headrests, 21-inch wheels, and a carbon-fibre front splitter.
Along with the Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima, the GranTurismo Trofeo will be taking part in the hill climb, with the 536.5bhp V6 Nettuno Engine. The standout feature of the Trofeo is the pre-chamber combustion system that has been taken from F1 with twin spark plugs.
The Maserati Area at the Goodwood Festival of Speed will showcase the company’s GranTurismo One Off Prisma, a car that depicts the expression of Maserati as a brand. Alongside that, the GranTurismo Folgore, Maserati’s first all-electric car, will be present.
In the Festival’s Electric Avenue, Maserati will showcase their second all-electric model, the Grecale Folgore, a mid-size SUV. The Grecale Folgore comes powered by a 105kWh battery that provides the user with a range of around 500km on a single charge. Power figures of this e-SUV is more than 495bhp and 820Nm of peak torque.
Finally, Maserati will also showcase the MC20 Cielo at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The MC20 Cielo made its debut in the FoS with David Beckham last year, but comes back this year in the Rosso Vincente shade.
The Maserati MC20 Cielo boasts an incredible power-to-weight ratio, an awe striking design, a carbon-fibre chassis, a smart glass roof, and comes powered by an F1-inspired engine. The MC20 Cielo has a V6 Nettuno engine that produces an outstanding 615bhp.
Thoughts On The Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima
The Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima and Levante V8 Ultima will mark the end of an era for Maserati’s grand-tourers. The company is at least giving that line of cars a good send off at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Soon, these cars will become collector’s items for the public and will be sought after by many.
