Named after the Mediterranean wind, the Gregale, the new Grecale is the latest offering from the Italian firm, Maserati. This compact SUV is poised against the likes of the Porsche Macan, Range Rover Velar and Jaguar F-Pace. With a choice of three powertrains and four different models, this newcomer has something for everyone, from the urban soccer mom to the die-hard sports SUV enthusiast.
The pick of the litter is undoubtedly the Trofeo which employs a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6, lifted from the MC20, to produce 395 kW and 620 Nm torque for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of only 3.5-seconds and a top speed of 280 km/h.
