The sports car will visit this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed alongside the Eletre, Emira V6, and Evija.
In celebration of the brand's 75th anniversary, Lotus will attend this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed to debut the Emira with the four-cylinder AMG engine.
Positioned as the entry-level model to the 400-horsepower Emira V6, the new Lotus Emira will participate in the Hill Climb activity throughout the festival, showcasing its performance capabilities. It is powered by a Mercedes-AMG-sourced 2.0-liter inline-four turbocharged engine with 360 horsepower and 316 lb-ft of torque.
Despite running with a smaller and less powerful engine, the Emira with the AMG engine can go from zero to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, which is only 0.1 slower than the V6 model.

The Emira will also be joined by the Eletre, Emira V6, and Evija at the Goodwood Festival of Speed as the British automaker will take center stage. Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button, who will drive the Evija in the Hill Climb, will also hold a live Q&A at the Lotus Hub.
Lotus is expected to bring the AMG-powered Emira to US soil in the first quarter of 2024. It is the brand's final internal combustion engine sports car following the discontinuation of the Elise, Exige, and Evora in late 2021.
“In our 75th year, we've got an amazing Goodwood Festival of Speed lineup,” said Mike Johnstone, Lotus' group vice-president and chief commercial officer.

“The current range is a fitting tribute to everything that's come before, and this is such a great venue for enthusiasts to see our cars and learn about the transformation of Lotus from our knowledgeable product experts,” added Johnstone.
The 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed will also see other brands debut their cars, including Hyundai with the new N-badged Ioniq 5. Meanwhile, Lamborghini will also introduce its Le Mans Daytona hybrid (LMDh) race car, competing at the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
