The Suzuki GSX-8T and Suzuki GSX-8TT are the manufacturer’s take on the the modern retro motorcycle design. Both models have seen great reception worldwide since their launch and has just won the 2026 Red Dot Award for Product Design. Both models expand the GSX-8 platform which also includes the GSX-8S naked/standard and fully-faired GSX-8R sportbike. They share a 776cc parallel-twin with 270-degree crank engine, which produces a smooth and linear torque for maximum tractability and accessibility. The GSX-8T is the more ‘naked’ compared to the GSX-8TT, which has a bikini fairing like that on Suzuki’s superbikes in the 80s. From Suzuki’s Press Release Suzuki’s street motorcycles GSX-8T and GSX-8TT have won the Red Dot Award in the Product Design Category of the Red Dot Design Award, promoted by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Germany. Red Dot Design Award is an internationally recognized and prestigious design award that was established in 1955 and has been continuously presented to this day. It evaluates products in a wide range of fields including furniture, home appliances, automobiles, medical equipment, and IT devices, based on nine comprehensive criteria including innovation, functionality, ergonomics, durability, ecological compatibility, and emotional content. The award was granted in recognition of the high evaluation of the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT for their precise transfer of classic visual features into a clearly structured, modern aesthetic.
