AMD has launched Radeon Software Adrenalin 21.9.1, a major release that brings three new features including auto overclocking for AMD-powered desktop systems, support for Microsoft's upcoming Windows 11, and AMD Smart Access Memory on Radeon RX 5000 series cards.
Users with Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics cards and Ryzen 5000 Series Desktop Processors can now enjoy a streamlined, easy-to-use overclocking experience. Radeon Software Adrenalin 21.9.1 combines Ryzen and Radeon performance tuning together into a single simple-to-use tab, including an auto overclocking feature to boost performance on both Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics cards and Ryzen 5000 Series CPUs.
In addition, Windows 11 support brings performance optimisations and features like Radeon Boost, Radeon Anti-Lag and Radeon Image Sharpening to improve performance, reduce latency and enhance visuals on Windows 11 PCs.
Finally, AMD Smart Access Memory is now supported on Radeon RX 5000 series cards. Smart Access Memory gives AMD Ryzen processors direct access to your graphics card's memory by taking advantage of the wider bandwidth offered by the PCIe interface. This means your CPU can access the full graphics frame buffer, instead of just a limited amount of VRAM. With the update, users can improve their performance when pairing Radeon RX 5000 Series graphics cards with AMD Ryzen 5000 or select Ryzen 3000 Series Desktop Processors and AMD 500-series motherboards.
The company is also offering its FidelityFX Super Resolution spatial upscaling feature in 14 new titles, bringing the total to 27 since June:
