According to organiser, the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), the 6th edition of the Malaysia Autoshow will showcase the theme, “Mobility Redefined”. It will continue its tradition of showcasing the latest vehicles in the market, highlighting the advances in technology and safety, as well as including important technologies that the public can expect in the near future as Malaysia’s mobility sector operates in the digital era.
“The Autoshow is probably the only, if not among the few, opportunities for the industry players to directly access the public – to showcase the intricacies, “behind the scenes” elements and the people that design and build the cars that carry our loved ones every single day,” said MARii Chairman, Datuk Phang Ah Tong. Also present at the official launch was Datuk Hanafi Sakri, Ministry of International Trade & Industry (MITI) Senior Director, Industry Development Division.
The Autoshow will also feature new additions i.e. the Malaysia Bike Show, Malaysia EV Show and Charged. “You will have the opportunity to see the latest technologies and developments in the automobile industry. From electric and autonomous vehicles, to advances in safety and efficiency, the automobile industry is making vehicles that are not only better for the environment but also safer and more enjoyable to drive,” added Datuk Phang.
MAEPS Hall A will continue its tradition of showcasing the latest vehicles available in Malaysia, including the latest Energy Efficient models. Over 100 car models are expected to be on display this year. Visitors will also be offered special packages and deals, as well as special finance packages through its bank partner at the show.Meanwhile, Hall C will feature the Malaysia Bike Show, showcasing the breadth of 2-wheeler lifestyle, from Sports Bikes to Dirt Bikes. In Hall D will be the Malaysia EV Show and Charged, which will focus on the various types of electric vehicles, vehicle charging technology, as well as accessories, parts and digital applications that make up the EV ecosystem.
The Autoshow will also feature various automotive and lifestyle activities outside, including:
- Two 4.5 km test drive routes (extended from the last Autoshow’s 3 km route) to further allow visitors to better experience the test cars
- A dedicated off-road experience for those who enjoy adventure
- Drift taxi-ride for those who want to experience the thrill of high performance vehicles
- A dedicated Premium Hall to showcase and highlight the best technologies in the market from the premium segment
- Safety Technology demonstrations to showcase the latest in vehicle safety
- Food trucks at the Malaysia Autoshow Auto Village
- Fun activities for the entire family at the AutoFest, including a concert featuring top artists, international dance invitationals, cosplay activities, etc
