Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has launched the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC Coupé for customers looking for a sportier looking SUV. The GLC Coupé uses a 48-volt mild hybrid system with an integrated starter-generator to combine sporty performance with efficiency. Also, like its name indicates, it is also fitted with the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system which allows you to take it off the beaten path. The off-road mode is also complemented by a “transparent bonnet” camera view to avoid obstacles.
The differentiating feature to the regular GLC is the Coupé sporty silhouette, accentuated by the AMG Line with Chrome package. Included in this pack is a set of 20″ AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels and body-coloured wheel arch liners. Further, the brake system comes with enlarged and perforated brake discs on the front axle for better braking performance.
The GLC Coupé is also fitted with DIGITAL LIGHT which is a set of LED matrix that can be individually controlled for a more targeted distribution of light to provide excellent visibility without blinding other road users. With the Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus function, you can drive with continuous high beam without dazzling others.

Like all Mercedes-Benz models, the GLC Coupé comes with the PRE-SAFE system, Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, and Active Brake Assist. The GUARD 360° vehicle protection also offers all-round monitoring of the vehicle’s surroundings, with its break-in and anti-theft alarm system with tow-away protection. Further, the Parking Package with 360° camera and Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC makes for easy parking in tight spaces. You can either park with the aid of dynamic visualisation and audible feedback, or have the vehicle park with assisted parking.
As for the interior, it comes dressed with AMG Line trim and features a floating 12.3″ high-resolution LCD screen in front of the driver. This is complemented by a floating 11.9″ central display that is angled slightly towards the driver. The infotainment system within is controlled by the latest MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) interface with improved user friendliness and paired with a Burmester audio system as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
The MBUX Augmented Reality for navigation uses a camera to register the surroundings in front of the vehicle. The central display then shows the moving images and also superimposes virtual objects, information and markers. These include traffic signs, directional arrows, lane-change recommendations and house numbers.

Power is provided by a 2.0L turbocharged engine which produces 190 kW (258 hp) @ 5,800 rpm and 400 Nm @ 2,000 – 3,200 rpm. Meanwhile, the electric motor gives a 17 kW and 205 Nm boost. This combination allows for a 0 – 100 km/h timing of 6.3 seconds.
