The A2Z programme also transforms Shell beyond just an energy company offering a fuel card to corporate fleets. Though this programme will still include a Shell Card for fleet mobility purposes, it also involves incorporating solutions for new energy and carbon reduction measures.
The other components besides the Shell Card are:
- Shell Recharge: this enables access to Shell’s EV charging ecosystem for corporate fleets that also include electric vehicles. This also involves the establishment of hardware and software solutions at the client’s premises, depending on the client’s requirements and usage.
- Shell Telematics: data is gathered from Shell Card usage as well as live vehicle tracking to monitor fleet performance. This data can then be processed to optimise fleet efficiency.
- Carbon Compensation: clients can also choose to compensate for unavoidable carbon emissions resulting from fuel usage through carbon credits generated by Shell’s nature-based projects.

The launch of the A2Z programme also featured an in-depth discussion on sustainable mobility practices for businesses with a panel that included industry players. Giving their insights to the challenges and future of fleet mobility were Shell Fleet Solutions Asia General Manager, Veethara Trakulboon; DHL Express Malaysia and Brunei Managing Director, Julian Neo; Tenaga Nasional Berhad Programme Director (PMO Electric Vehicle) and Zero Emission Vehicle Association (ZEVA) President, Wan Ahmad Zam Zam Abd Wahab; and AmBank Senior Vice President of Group Sustainability, Datin Zameema Arif.
