Haval will extend its new Vanta trim to the Jolion small SUV, mirroring a similar addition to its H6 midsizer last month
Haval’s new blacked-out Vanta trim level will be added at the top of the brand’s Jolion small SUV range, following the addition of an H6 Vanta midsize SUV last month.
Priced at $34,485 driveaway, the Jolion Vanta is $1495 more expensive than the Ultra model it replaces as range-topper. Only 500 examples of the Vanta edition will be sold here in Australia.
Much like on the H6, the Vanta brings a range of black exterior highlights to the Jolion crossover – including black 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, lower bumper trim, door trim and fog light trims.

Unlike the H6, which is available in six colours, the Jolion Vanta is exclusively matched to Mars Red metallic paint. On the inside, the Vanta echoes the specification of the Jolion Ultra grade.
Standard equipment on the Jolion range
On the base Premium variant, the Jolion receives cloth-appointed manual adjust front seats, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, four-speaker stereo system and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Standard active safety features include autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition and a 360-degree camera.
Only 500 examples of the Jolion Vanta will be available
Stepping up to the mid-spec Lux edition, customers will receive LED headlights, a 7.0-inch digital driver’s display, a leather trimmed steering wheel, synthetic leather upholstery, six-way electric adjustment for the driver’s seat and heating for both front passengers.
Specification for the Ultra includes a panoramic sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, wireless phone charging, a large 12.3-inch central touchscreen and dual LED driver displays
The Vanta grade mirrors the Ultra’s specification but for the addition of black aesthetic highlights on the exterior.
Buyers will gain a seven-year, unlimited kilometre warranty from factory
The Haval Jolion Vanta is supported by a seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty along with five years of roadside assist and five years of capped price servicing.
Turbo 1.5-litre petrol under the bonnet
Every Jolion sold in Australia uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol four-cylinder engine producing 110kW of power and 220Nm of torque.
Front-wheel drive is the only configuration and no manual gearbox is offered: every Jolion is fitted with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The hybrid Jolion has been launched in Thailand but has not been confirmed for Australia
Claimed fuel economy for this powertrain is a combined 8.1 litres per 100km.
A Jolion hybrid powertrain remains on the table for an Australian release later this year.
