Opel has launched the new Grandland in South Africa, which is positioned as the flagship of its local range.
The SUV is available in three specifications with prices starting at R599,900 for the base model, up to R720,900 for the range-topping “Ultimate.”
All versions of the Opel are fitted with a 1.6-litre, turbocharged petrol engine that has a performance rating of 121kW and 240Nm, and average fuel consumption of 7.0l/100km. Each unit also drives the front wheels via a six-speed automatic gearbox.
Standard equipment on the Grandland includes 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, daytime running lights, rain-sensing wipers, a multifunction leather steering wheel, cloth seats, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, a speed limiter, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, pedestrian detection, and traffic sign recognition.
The dashboard also features a 7-inch digital driver screen, and a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a six-speaker stereo.
Upgrading to the higher-end models adds larger 18-inch alloy rims, IntelliLux Pixel adaptive headlights, privacy glass, chrome trim, an Alcantara or leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats with electronic adjustability and lumbar support, blind-spot monitors, keyless entry and start, onboard navigation, parking assist, and a hands-free electric tailgate.
