The new version of the popular SUV boasts a refreshed front end, featuring most notably, a closed-off grille resembling those seen on electric vehicles. While this replaces the traditional chrome grille, to ensure sufficient airflow for the combustion engine, a prominent lower intake has been added. Additionally, the SUV showcases redesigned LED headlights with new graphics incorporating diagonal bars on the lower edges.
Although the updated Haval H6 retains a similar profile to its previous version, there are subtle differentiating elements upon closer examination. The lower portion of the doors now exhibits sculpted lines, enhancing the SUV’s overall appearance.

The taillights have been redesigned, drawing inspiration from the Hyundai Santa Fe, and the vehicle also features a double panoramic sunroof on the roof, providing occupants with an open-air experience.

Regarding the mechanical specifications, the upcoming Haval H6 is expected to offer a comprehensive range of drivetrains, potentially including hybrid and plug-in hybrid options. While Haval has not provided specific details on the underworkings, documents from the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology indicate that the SUV will be equipped with turbocharged 1,5-litre and 2,0-litre petrol engines.

However, it remains uncertain whether the new Haval H6 model will be available in the South African market. The availability of the SUV locally has not yet been disclosed but it is unlikely to arrive in our market based on reports coming out of Australia. Instead, our market could receive an all-new generation of mid-sized SUVs to fill the gap.
