Third-generation compact SUV will be handed over to the media and dealers in a little over two months
Suzuki Australia has locked in a September launch for its new-generation 2022 Suzuki S-Cross, with local media – including carsales – being invited to the national media launch in the first week of the month.
The third-generation compact SUV debuted with a bolder look, far more sophistication and a new hybrid powertrain in November 2021 and was promised to arrive Down Under sometime in 2022.
Fast-forward eight months and we’re eager to see how the new Suzuki S-Cross goes on local roads, especially given it rides on the same platform as its predecessor.
Destined to go toe-to-toe with new rivals like the 2022 Haval Jolion, 2022 Honda HR-V and 2022 Mazda CX-30, the new S-Cross isn’t noticeably bigger than the current version but drastically steps up its technology and cosmetic games.
The overall aesthetic is more SUV-like, meaning a boxier silhouette, raised bonnet line, bigger grille and angrier headlights.
Inside, there’s an all-new interior dominated by the latest Suzuki infotainment system incorporating the latest software, while occupants will enjoy a drastically expanded suite of driver aids.
“With the launch of the all-new S-Cross and its potential long list of upgraded features and specifications on safety, driver convenience and class-leading value, there is no doubt we will continue to increase our presence in the growing SUV market,” said Suzuki Australia general manager Michael Pachota of the new S-Cross’ reveal.
