The Grand Vitara is now Suzuki’s flagship product within the local market, offering an option for those wanting a larger vehicle from the Suzuki stable. The Grand Vitara was released earlier in 2023 too much fanfare, selling out from most dealers within days.
Demand is high for a number of reasons, the famous Suzuki reliability, excellent fuel economy and now a Hybrid drive option but what of the warranty? We take a look at what the warranty offers and consists of.
The Warranty
Every Suzuki Grand Vitara is sold with a 5-year / 200 000km warranty and a 6-year / 90 000km service plan.
- Warranty covers defects in manufacturing, materials and workmanship for the warranty period.
- Warranty begins at the date of first registration.
- Warranty will only be valid if all services are kept up to date and done at authorised Suzuki dealership.
What is NOT covered by the warranty?
- Fire, accidents or theft
- Abuse or negligence
- Misuse — for example, racing or overloading
- Improper repairs
- Alteration or tampering, including installation of non-Genuine Suzuki accessories
- Lack of or improper maintenance, including use of fluids and fuel other than those specified in the Owner’s Manual installation of non-Genuine Suzuki Parts
- Airborne chemicals, tree sap, road debris (including stone chips), rail dust, salt, hail, floods, wind storms, lightning and other environmental conditions
- Water contamination
- Tyres
- Brakes
- Clutches
- Wiper blades
- Batteries
- Engine tuning
- Refillable fluids ie; lubricants, fuel, washer fluid
