“A design that continues to be loved over time. This concept continues to be passed down as a tradition even today. The noble form that started this tradition has been converted into the Jimny with Damned’s new retro design. Full of playfulness! The neo-classic little G. is born. A companion to support your active life.” – Dream AutoMotive Development & Design
DAMD (Dream AutoMotive Development & Design) is a Japanese automotive design firm in Japan, established in 1982. Atop the Suzuki Jimny’s frame, DAMD imparted a slew of visual changes, turning the Jimny into a retro “neo-classic” off-roader. The exterior’s most notable changes are to Jimny’s front fascia. DAMD revises the Kimny front fascia with their custom front grill, front bumper, Koito-made halogen square fog lights, bonnet-mounted blinkers and bonnet curtailed by a standoffish front bash plate. Changes to the flank range from the mud flaps and new wheels. Out with the 15-inch alloy wheels on the regular Jimny in favour of a Crimson Dean Cross Country 16-inch wheel wrapped in Open Country 785 Toyo tyres.

The interior remains undisturbed except for the separate covers and the addition of what DAMD refers to as an “arsenal pillar”. The ‘arsenal pillar” is a Picatinny rail affixed to the car’s A-pillar and purposed as a mounting point for GoPros or phones. DAMD’s “little G” is available in five paint colours namely, Pure White Pearl, Bluish, Black Pearl 3, Jungle Green, Medium grey, and Chiffon ivory metallic.
Has DAMD tastefully recreated the Jimny?
