Following the beginning of the new financial year, Maruti Suzuki has hiked prices of its cars and SUVs in India. The latest price hike has resulted in Maruti Suzuki models getting costlier up to Rs 11,693.
According to the price hike, Maruti Suzuki has hiked the prices of its models by 1.32 per cent. This means the least price hike was reflected on the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, which received a price hike of Rs 5,193 and now costs Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
On the other hand, the Maruti Suzuki alto has received a price hike of Rs 5,304 and the hatchback now costs Rs 4.08 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Despite being a new car, the prices of the Maruti Suzuki Celerio hatchback has also been hiked by 1.32 per cent. Thanks to the price hike, the new Celerio now costs Rs 5.25 lakh (ex-showroom, India) – which is Rs 6,825 more.

In addition to that, prices of the Swift and Dzire models have also been increased by Rs 7,695 and Rs 8,112, respectively. Post the price hike, the Maruti Suzuki Swift now costs Rs 5.91 lakh (ex-showroom, India), whereas the Maruti Suzuki Dzire now costs Rs 6.24 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Though Maruti Suzuki WagonR is currently the best selling hatchback in India, Maruti Suzuki has stuck to the default 1.32 per cent price hike. This has resulted in a price hike of Rs 7,117 and the tall-boy hatchback now costs Rs 5,47 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Maruti Suzuki has also hiked the prices of the Eeco van and the model now costs Rs 4.63 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
In the Arena lineup of Maruti Suzuki models, the Vitara Brezza received the highest price hike of Rs 10,192. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is now priced at Rs 7.84 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Coming to the Nexa lineup of cars, the Maruti Suzuki Ignis now costs Rs 5.35 lakh (ex-showroom, India) after the price hike of Rs 6,955 and the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross now costs Rs 8.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India) after the price hike of Rs 11,635.
Despite being Maruti Suzuki’s latest launch, the prices of the Baleno hatchback has also been increased by Rs 8,437 and the premium hatchback now costs Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The highest price hike has been received by Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the sedan now costs Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India) after receiving a price hike of Rs 11,693.
Thoughts About Maruti Suzuki’s Price Hike Following The New Financial Year
The latest price hike on Maruti Suzuki models are highly unlikely to affect any of its sales. Moreover, the price hike by automakers following the new financial year has become a common practice in the industry.
