It looks like the new second-generation Maruti Suzuki Baleno is going to emulate its predecessor. According to reports, Maruti Suzuki has garnered over 16,000 bookings for the new Baleno, which indicates that the model is going to be another blockbuster in the history of Maruti Suzuki. All the authorized NEXA dealer outlets of Maruti Suzuki were already accepting the bookings for the new Baleno for a few days. In addition, the customers also have the option of booking the car on the official website of Nexa experience.
The all-new Maruti Suzuki Baleno is going to arrive officially in India on February 23. According to TOI, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Baleno has already received more than 16,000 bookings.
Baleno facelift to offer numerous changes
Starting with the exterior, the new Baleno has gone under an evolutionary change in its design, with a sleeker and wider front grille, sharper all-LED headlamps and tail lamps and new 16-inch machined alloy wheels. The new colour options on offer will be Opulent Red, Luxe Beige, Splendid Silver, Nexa Blue, Pearl Arctic White and Grandeur Grey.
On the inside, the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno has got an all-new dashboard, with the interior getting a new dual-tone black and violet upholstery. There is an all-new multi-functional steering wheel, which looks similar to that in other Maruti Suzuki Models like Swift and Dire. The instrument console has been revised with a new TFT MID unit, but the other dials continue to be analogue ones. The centre console has been revised as well, which now houses a bigger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a sleeker panel for automatic climate control switches.
Updated feature list as well
In terms of features, the new Baleno will come equipped with segment-first features like a head-up display and a 360-degree parking camera. It will also be bestowed with other features like wireless connectivity for Apple Carplay and Android Auto, wireless charger, cruise control, push start-stop button, UV-cut glasses, 60:40 split rear seats, height-adjustable driver’s seat and tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel.
When it comes to safety, the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been upgraded with side and curtain airbags, in addition to the dual front airbags. Other safety features include ABS with EBD and brake assist, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX mounts for child seats, electronic stability program and hill hold assist.
Like its predecessor, the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno will continue to compete with other premium hatchbacks like Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz and Volkswagen Polo.
