The TVS Ntorq is a popular offering in the 125cc segment. The Ntorq offers many first-in-class features and is quite popular amongst Indian buyers. Interestingly! The Ntorq is the only scooter in its segment to feature two different riding modes- Street and Sport.

The Contenders
The newly launched Suzuki Avenis uses a BS6 compliant 124.3 cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled, fuel-injected motor that produces about 8.7 PS of peak power at 6,750 rpm and 10 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine is paired to a CVT transmission.
The TVS Ntorq, on the other hand, uses a slightly more powerful 124.8 cc, Single Cylinder, four-Stroke, SI, Air Cooled, Fuel Injected engine that churns out about 9.38 PS of peak power at 7,000 rpm and maximum torque of 10.5Nm at 5,500rpm and is paired to a CVT transmission.

Round one
The Suzuki Avenis uses a 124 cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that produces slightly less amount of power and torque than its rival the Ntorq
The Suzuki Avenis and the TVS Ntorq riders set off in the mark of three horns. The Avenis takes the lead at the start of the race. The Ntorq catches up mid-race but fails to overtake its Suzuki rival. The Suzuki Avenis crosses the finish line first. The Avenis reached a speedo-indicated top speed of 107 kmph in round one.
Round two
Both the riders line up their scooters at the starting line and sets off on the mark of three horns
The Ntorq rider decides to switch from the street mode to race mode unleashing all the 9.38 Ps and 10.5 Nm of torque. They set off again on the mark of three horns. The TVS Ntorq immediately takes the lead leaving no scope for the Avenis to catch up or overtake. The Ntorq won the second drag race.
Round 3
The Avenis even takes some of its styling cues from its rival the TVS Ntorq
The riders swapped their scooters before the race to keep things fair. The TVS Ntorq once again takes the lead at the start. The Suzuki Avenis fails to overtake its rival once again. The TVS Ntorq won round three without breaking a sweat while touching a speedo indicated top speed of 106 kmph.
