The latest Suzuki Grand Vitara is still as capable as ever on and off road but how can it handle family duties? Can it fit 3 car seats?
The latest Suzuki Grand Vitara is another model from the Toyota and Suzuki partnership to join the stable of a production of compact vehicles. My colleague Ané Albertse drove the Grand Vitara at its launch, and you can read her thoughts here.
The Grand Vitara employs Suzuki’s new bold design elements outside and even on the inside. You can expect to see flagship luxury and technology. The Grand Vitara is geared for comfort on road and rough surfaces. Spaciousness has been addressed along with the myriad of creature comforts and safety like in the GLX model, like a panoramic sunroof and additional speakers with a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen. Safety-wise, the Grand Vitara range has a high level of safety; all models have six airbags and many driver assistance systems. With this in mind, can you fit three car seats in the back of the Grand Vitara?
The Grand Vitara sounds excellent. Can I fit three car seats in the back?
The Grand Vitara comes with bespoke seats that pride themselves on superior comfort front and rear. The rear seating arrangement can accommodate three adults. As far as baby car seats go, there are ISOFIX child seat anchors on the outer rear seats in the Grand Vitara. Technically, you can only fit two car seats with the ISOFIX anchors, but you could use a seat belt restraint-style car seat for the middle seat. Ideally, you should go for an ISOFIX baby car seat in the interest of safety. If you’re sold on a Grand Vitara after reading this, you can search AutoTrader for the latest used and new offerings.
