2023 KTM 250 Adventure launched at Rs 2.47 lakh (ex-showroom). The 250 Adventure from Austrian manufacturer KTM has been updated to comply with new OBD2 emission norms.
The 2023 KTM 250 Adventure’s engine has been updated so that it now meets the stricter and heavily updated BSVI OBD2 emission norms that came into effect this month.
However, this change does not seem to have made any difference to the actual output of the adventure motorcycle. The 250 Adventure continues to draw power from a 248.76cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that also features fuel injection.
The 2023 KTM 250 Adventure’s powerplant pushes out 29.6bhp at 9,000rpm and 24Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm. The 250 Adventure engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch for faster gear shifts.
Other mechanical bits on the smallest adventure motorcycle from KTM in India remain unchanged.The 250 Adventure continues to sport a tubular split-trellis frame chassis with a bolt-on rear sub-frame.
The 2023 KTM 250 Adventure features a 43mm USD fork from Apex at the front. At the back, the adventure motorcycle sports a pre-load-adjustable WP Apex monoshock with 177mm of travel.
The new KTM 250 Adventure comes to a halt quickly thanks to disc brakes at both ends – 320mm (with a radially mounted calliper) at the front and 230mm at the rear which is clamped down by a floating calliper.
The brakes on the new KTM 250 Adventure are aided by dual-channel ABS and also on offer is off-road ABS. The adventure bike sports a staggered setup with a 19-inch wheel at the front and a 17-inch unit at the rear.
The KTM 250 Adventure offers 200mm of ground clearance and the seat of the smallest ADV from KTM in India sits 855mm above the ground. The new 2023 250 Adventure tips the scales at 177kg.
The KTM 250 Adventure’s design is also untouched and the bike gets looks the same as before. The 2023 KTM 250 Adventure is offered in two colour options – Factory Racing Blue and Electronic Orange.
