Ahead of a December 2022 launch into showrooms, the 2023 Isuzu D-Max has been revealed. Offering a range of subtle updates, new models and – surprisingly, given the current climate – no price rises, the MY23 D-Max range is better equipped than ever before.
“This is the most significant update to the Isuzu D-Max range since debut – with each model set to receive a bolder design aesthetic, new features, and four new models added – giving Customers more choice,” said Isuzu Ute Australia’s managing director Hiroyasu Sato.
“In a market where some brands have removed features to meet delivery timeframes, we’ve listened to the feedback from customers and the media and have introduced new features to keep the Isuzu D-Max towards the top of the segment; features that appeal to the modern ute driver, and the towing and touring adventurer.”
The biggest changes to the 2023 Isuzu D-Max lineup are the wider availability of the 110kW/350Nm 1.9-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that was previously limited to the SX single cab chassis – it can now be had in SX crew cab 4×2 and SX crew cab 4×4 forms as well. All other models continue to use the 140kW/450Nm 3.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, with either a six-speed manual or six-speed auto.
Other changes to the 2023 Isuzu D-Max lineup include new alloy wheel designs and light exterior refreshments like a new grille, the blind-spot monitoring system (with rear cross-traffic alert) automatically turns off when a trailer is hitched and connected via the genuine trailer wiring harness, tyre pressure monitoring is standard on LS-U, LS-U+ and X-Terrain models, the tailgate on all dual cab models now has a gas strut system for easier opening, the seat upholstery has been redesigned from LS-M models, the SX gets a rear USB port to match above models and the LS-U now has heated mirrors.
