Maruti Suzuki Swift (15,955 Units)
In June 2023, Maruti Suzuki managed to sell 15,955 units of the Swift hatchbacks in India. However, despite the strong sales figures, YoY sales figures dipped by more than 1.5 per cent as the company managed to sell 16,213 units in June 2022.
Hyundai Creta (14,447 Units)
The Hyundai Creta SUV continues to remain a popular choice despite new launches in the compact SUV segment, In June 2023, Hyundai managed to sell 14,447 units of the model and witnessed a 4.8 per cent YoY growth. This makes the Hyundai Creta the best-selling SUV in India.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno (14,077 Units)
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno continues to be the best-selling model under the Nexa range. In June 2023, the company managed to sell 14,077 units of the Baleno hatchback in India. However, YoY sales figures dipped by more than 12.5 per cent.
Tata Nexon (13,827 Units)
In June 2023, Tata Motors managed to sell 13,827 units of Nexon SUV in India. This makes the Tata Nexon the best-selling sub-4m SUV in the country. However, the YoY sales figures dipped by 3.2 per cent as the company managed to sell 468 units more in June 2022.

Looking at the sales figures, Maruti Suzuki continues to dominate the automobile sector with its multiple hatchback offerings. However, a closer look reveals that the company is witnessing a decline in sales of these hatchbacks.
