Maruti has started accepting bookings for the new Ertiga for just Rs 11,000
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is currently one of the best-selling MPVs in the Indian market. Available in both, petrol and CNG iterations, the Maruti Ertiga not only comes at an affordable price, but also offers a comfortable, feature-rich, and spacious seven-seater.
Having said that, the brand is now all set to launch the new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift in the country and the bookings for the same too have commenced across India. Here’s everything you need to know about Maruti’s refreshed Ertiga.
A few exterior changes will help the new Ertiga look fresh
The new Maruti Ertiga facelift will boast a number of cosmetic updates that will help it to have a better road presence. This mid-life update will see new trim options and a new powertrain.
A number of new features like the 7-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system will also be offered with the new Ertiga. This system will get Suzuki Connect connected car tech along with smart-phone connectivity, that includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
We also expect Maruti to offer a number of new features with the Ertiga
A significant change comes in the form of the new 1.5-L dual VVT petrol engine that will now also be available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. This new automatic gearbox will be replacing the older 4-speed unit that we also see in many other Maruti cars like the Ciaz and XL6.
Just like the outgoing model, the S-CNG iteration will also go on sale with a top-spec ZXi CNG trim on offer as well.
The powertrain of the Ertiga too gets some major updates now
The Maruti Ertiga rivals the cars like the Kia Carens, and Mahindra Marazzo while it will also compete against the upcoming Maruti XL6 facelift.
Maruti is also expected to add a number of new models to the Indian market, including the new Maruti Vitara Brezza, Baleno CNG, updated 2022 Ignis, and more.
