This 1965 Chevy Chevelle makes 525 horsepower with its GM LS3 crate engine.
AutotopiaLA has featured some of the sickest muscle cars, such as the 2,000-horsepower twin-turbo Chevrolet Bubble Top Impala and the crashed-and-burned 1969 “Big Red” Chevy Camaro. But perhaps the cleanest resto-mod we've seen so far from the YouTube channel is this: a 1965 Chevy Chevelle owned by Denver Miller.
When Miller got the classic Chevelle muscle car for the first time, the car was already very clean-looking from the get-go. However, he damaged the rear section after making a turn without him looking at the mirrors. At least, that marked the start of the resto-modification project, tweaking every part of the car to his liking. Miller said the whole process took two and a half years in his garage.
Miller installed UMI Performance front suspension with double adjustable Viking coilovers, which are said to improve cornering performance. At the rear, the car got ABC Performance four-link suspension with a nine-inch Ford rear axle.
The mentioned setups help the 525-hp GM LS3 crate engine with Delmo's kit put the power down on the road. It is matched with a six-speed Tremec T56 transmission, fitted only after cutting a portion of the center tunnel. Not all parts under the hood are functional, with some installed for aesthetic purposes only. As a result, the engine looks as clean as the exterior.
Speaking of the exterior, the car is riding on American Racing VF503 wheels with a red surround matched with red brake calipers and hydro-boosted Wilwood brakes. The front setup has 18″x8″ front wheels in 245/40 tires, while the rear has 19″x11″ wheels in 305/30 tires.

The exterior color is Oyster Pearl Metallic said to come from Volvo. Chrome pieces such as the grille, front bumper, door handles, side view mirrors, and rear bumper add to the car's overall clean-looking concept.
Miller said that goal of the interior was to make it looks as simple as possible. TMI is the go-to for the interior, as seen in the seats, the headliner, the sun visors, and the carpets. Meanwhile, as part of the restomod project, modern tech is also integrated, including the Dakota digital gauges, Bluetooth connectivity, and an iPad, which can control the Varex X-Force mufflers.
We strongly believe that everything isn't about horsepower, and this Chevy Chevelle restomod is a good case for that.
