Range Rover has updated this model numerous times over the years and is keeping its styling relevant for 2024 with new headlights and taillights and a comprehensive interior redesign. The exterior changes on the updated velar are not immediately noticeable, but upon closer inspection, a new slim head and rear LED light is noticeable. This cohesively fits in alongside a restyled grille and a new rear bumper. More exterior updates include two new colour options called Metallic Varesine Blue and Premium Metallic Zadar Gray.

Having been around since the 2018 model year, the Range Rover Velar has pioneered Range Rover’s reductive design philosophy and this new update takes this approach to a new level inside, a new dash greets the driver and front passenger pure Range Rover style. It sports a single 11,4-inch floating screen in the centre stack instead of the current twin-screen design. Not only does the new design look neater, Land Rover says the new screen’s mounting makes it easier to reach, and its larger size makes information also easier to read. There are also fewer reflections due to only one screen being present.

The cabin also features a new seat design and new materials to choose from, including four new leather colourways, Cloud, Caraway, Raven Blue and Deep Garnet. The leather-free option is also still available. The Velar also improved connectivity as it includes the latest version of Land Rover’s Pivi Pro infotainment system.
There haven’t been any changes to the powertrains, the standard choice is still the 2,0-litre turbocharged inline-four that produces 184 kW of power and 365 N.m of torque delivering a sprint time from 7,1 seconds from 0-100 km/h. The 3,0-litre inline-six engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system also remains unchanged. Both powertrains come standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels. The P400 produces 294 kW of power and a maximum torque of 550 N.m, going from 0 to 100 in 5,5 seconds.
