US tuning house Hennessey likes to go big. Really big. From a souped-up 500hp Raptor to its own Venom Hypercar, the American firm usually delivers power by bucketloads, and the latest creation to leave its workshop is no exception.
Say hello to the Exorcist Camaro ZL1 Final Edition, a 1,000hp demon hunter that should put the fear of God into any opponent it encounters. With this mad machine, Texas-based Hennessey Performance is singing an appropriate swan song to the popular coupe that will see its production come to an end in January 2024. Only 57 of these ultra-powerful speed seekers will ever be built, one for every year the Camaro was in production.

A standard Camaro ZL1 is already a pretty fast machine. Equipped with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that generates 650hp and 881Nm, it’s perfectly capable of blowing your socks off straight out of the Chevy factory—but evidently not at the pace Hennessey engineers deem appropriate.
For this Exorcist Final Edition, the team fitted a larger supercharger and a high-flow air induction system, and upgraded the fuel pump and injectors. On top of that, the powerplant was also treated to ported cylinder heads, custom camshafts, and an upgraded valve system. A larger heat exchanger helps to keep things cool, while high-flow catalytic converters make sure the beast can breathe freely.
Finally, new engine management software is thrown into the mix to achieve the supercar-worthy figure of 1,000hp. Hennessey claims it can do the quarter mile in 9.57 seconds and won’t stop accelerating before the needle has hit almost 350km/h.

For a car with this much brute force at its disposal, the exterior design seems almost gentle.
Only the rear spoiler and the “Exorcist 1 of 57” decals really give away what kind of insane automobile this is—and give any dragstrip opponents a chance to throw in the towel before risking almost certain defeat.
Pricing hasn’t been disclosed yet, but expect a hefty addition to the $75,000 (P4,255,000) base price for a ZL1 in the US.
