It looks just like a regular G-Class.
Our spy photographers recently spotted the all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQG out undergoing winter testing, and now they've managed to get a much closer look inside with the car parked. This latest batch of images gives us our first look at the interior, which looks surprisingly similar to the gas-powered G-Class. The cabin retains a similar layout to the famous G-Wagen, but there are some small differences here.
For starters, the steering wheel has been replaced by a newer Mercedes design with capacitive touch controls rather than physical buttons. The infotainment and gauge cluster screens look the same, though the lower touchpad could hit at some newer MBUX software. We are a bit surprised that the interior doesn't look more unique with a Hyperscreen or some other differentiator.

The radio and climate controls look more streamlined while the three buttons that currently control the locking differentials have been replaced by buttons for the new G-Turn function. If you haven't already seen the video, G-Turn is a new tank turn function that allows the electric motors on the left and right to spin in different directions, thus putting the EQG into a tight spin (like a tank). This feature will come in handy off-road, but might also prove useful in a mall parking lot.

As with the previous spy shots, this EQG prototype is wearing a black and blue topographical camouflage wrap to disguise its styling. That being said, it's clear that the EQG will look very similar to the G-Class, albeit with different wheels, a unique bumper, and other small changes.
We know the EQG will pack four electric motors, and may even spawn a more powerful AMG variant. It will ride on a body-on-frame platform, not the EVA2 electric architecture used by the EQS and EQE. The electric G-Class is still in the development phase, gearing up for its 2024 reveal.
