Seeing the new supercar ahead of its public debut will cost you actual money.
We've known for some time that Mercedes has been working on a new AMG GT super sports car, and Affalterbach has now teased the 2024 model for the first time. But what we did not know was that the German automaker would turn a sneak preview of the car into a paid event.
The Mercedes-AMG GT Live Sneak Preview will be one of the automaker's Customer Experience events, and it will be exclusive to AMG Private Lounge members. The event will take place in Germany, so you need an applicable driver's license and must be at least 21 years old. The event will be held each day from July 10-13, except the 12th. Each event will cater to no more than 24 people and will be held in German and English, so everybody can experience all that will be on offer.

Guests will be served breakfast in the AMG Private Lounge at Affalterbach on arrival, after which a safety briefing will be held. Guests will then be shown the AMG Factory Experience & Sneak Preview AMG GT ahead of a guided excursion with professional instructors. These excursions will occur in the Mercedes-AMG EQE 53 all-electric vehicle, the hybrid Mercedes-AMG SL63 revealed in 2021, and Merc's 671-horsepower M3 rival, the AMG C63 S E Performance, among others. More first-class catering will be offered as part of the farewell in the AMG Private Lounge.
Professional photographers will be on hand throughout the day to take participants' pictures. These will be released to the Private Lounge members after the event, preventing any leaked images.

If you are an AMG Private Lounge member and are interested in taking a flight to Germany next month, the experience will cost €450, which works out to around $493 at the time of writing. For an exclusive chance to see an all-new super sports car alongside other enthusiasts and with the instruction of AMG's experts, this seems like a great experience.
As for the new AMG GT, we expect that the range-topping GT will offer at least 831 hp, thanks to the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 plug-in hybrid system from the AMG GT 4-Door. Other variants with more approachable outputs are also expected. More information should trickle out of Affalterbach in the coming weeks.
