In our previous post about Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia, we shared that the company had plans to increase its investment in digital initiatives over the next few years to continue improving customer service.
Now, Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia (JLRM) has unveiled two Robot Assistants at its recently upgraded showroom at the Sime Darby Motors City, Ara Damansara. The dealership in Ara Damansara is also the largest Jaguar Land Rover 4S facility in the South-East Asia region.

According to the company, the robots will be used for customer-facing autonomous services. The robots are part of a collaboration between JLRM and Secure Robotics, a leading provider of modern technologies in Malaysia.
The robots are equipped with wireless internet connectivity, laser radar sensors, GPS and voice, facial and image recognition, for a more novel car viewing and buying experience.
Customers can configure their vehicles with preferred specifications, and visualise them on a 75-inch screen.
“As part of JLRM’s digital transformation, the introduction of these robots serves to elevate the customer experience. The use of robots also allows for customer interaction with reduced risk of transmission,” said Sime Darby Motors Malaysia, Managing Director, Retail & Distribution, Jeffrey Gan.
Recently, JLRM, a joint venture between Sime Darby Motors and SISMA Auto, has consolidated its retail operations, making it the sole importer and dealer in Malaysia.
