The Hino authorised dealer in Batu Pahat, Chee Heng Workshop & Automobile Sdn Bhd, has upgraded its operations to 3S (sales, service, spare parts) standard to offer improved sales and aftersales services.

According to Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Chee Heng had invested about RM1 million to upgrade their outlet on a 1-acre site. The upgraded 3S centre boasts the latest facilities that comply with HINO standards, with a spacious showroom to display trucks.

Additionally, the workshop area has 24 service bays and manned by a team of 13 trained technicians supplied with the latest tools. Meanwhile, the customer lounge, located at the front office, offer free flow of refreshments along with complimentary WiFi for customers.

Chee Heng started operations in 1982, growing from a makeshift workshop to a fully equipped 3S centre. It has built up over 40 years of experience in commercial vehicle servicing and maintenance and are well known to the customers in Batu Pahat.

Chee Heng joined the HINO network as a service dealer in 1983 and its chairman, Ch’ng Peng Soon, was selected by Hino for training in Japan to learn the HINO Spirit and pass it on to his team. Before the upgrade, its workshop was limited to 24 service intake per day and 500 service intake per month. Its expansion into a 3S outlet increases its service intake to 48 per day and up to 1,000 per month. One of its service bays is dedicated to service up to 2 prime movers a day. This operations expansion also helps to increase its sales and service opportunities, as it is able to serve customers in Kluang, Tangkak, and Pontian as well.

Furthermore, Chee Heng is also operating as a one-stop solution centre, offering vehicle inspection by PUSPAKOM, mobile on-site inspection, and 24-hour towing truck services.
