The best-selling model in South Africa’s crossover/SUV segment in November was the Toyota Corolla Cross, being the only vehicle in this practical body style to crack 2,000 sales.
Toyota was also the most popular brand for crossover and SUV buyers, taking the second, fourth, and 20th spots with the Urban Cruiser, Fortuner, and Land Cruiser 300, respectively.
Sandwiched between two Toyotas, the VW T-Cross occupies third place, whereas the Tiguan and T-Roc made away with 12th and 17th, securing a decent slice of the market for this German manufacturer.
Almost as popular as VW, all three of Chery’s vehicles – the Tiggo 4, 7, and 8 Pro – made it into the top 20, as well as two of Haval’s models namely the Jolion and H6.
Other crossovers and SUVs that car buyers couldn’t get enough of in November included the Nissan Magnite, Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger, Kia Sonet, and Suzuki’s Vitara Brezza and Jimny.
