Long-awaited Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale follow-up will be unveiled in less than two months
This is the first official glimpse of the upcoming Alfa Romeo 6C limited-edition supercar, which will make its world debut on August 30.
The teaser image and premiere confirmation were posted to the Italian brand’s global Twitter page, showing an extreme close-up of the 2023 Alfa Romeo 6C’s minimalist grille alongside the caption “Il coraggio di sognare”, which translates in English to “the courage to dream”.
The 6C has long been said to take its inspiration from the painfully beautiful Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale and it seems that will be the case, judging by the chrome grille finish and the horizontal slats linking both sides of the iconic shield.
Etched onto the louvres is the Visconti Serpent – a key symbol of Alfa’s heritage and overall brand identity.

“This project is a dream come true, inspired by a daring team that wanted to achieve something unique,” said Alfa Romeo CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato at the Chinese launch of the facelifted Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Giulia siblings.
Imparato has spoken previously about a limited-run model of unmatched uniqueness being in the works – something he could “put beside the 8C in the museum of Arese” as a proud “contribution to the history of Alfa Romeo”, before hinting that the bespoke model will don exterior styling inspired by the brand’s rich performance heritage.
“Yes, we’re doing it,” Alfa Romeo design boss Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos said when asked directly if it was time for a 33 Stradale revival.
The confirmation means we can expect to see a curvaceous, long-slung mid-engined supercar silhouette from Alfa for the first time in more than 50 years, while the teased ‘6C’ nameplate points to the inclusion of a V6 engine since the 8C featured a V8 and the 4C a four-cylinder.

Said engine will almost certainly be a flagship – and final – application of the Giulia Q’s 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6, which howls out up to 397kW/600Nm in the GTAm flagship.
Odds are both these numbers will be elevated for the most advanced Alfa Romeo product to date, undoubtedly paired with a stunning lightweight body.
The August 30 reveal aligns with the Italian Grand Prix in Monza and will take place at the Alfa Romeo Museum.
Imparato expects the limited-run supercar – which will be one of the most exclusive Alfas ever produced – to be completely sold out by then, given deposits were already being laid down in February.
