The Giulia and Stelvio are as stylish as ever.
The online configurators for the 2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio are now live, and earlier reports about a $1,800 price reduction for turbocharged four-cylinder models are true. The Sprint, Ti, and Veloce trims are cheaper than before, but that's not the only difference.
Alfa Romeo also dropped the Lusso and Estrema trims from both model ranges. The Lusso's departure was expected, as Alfa Romeo stated from the start that it would only be available in limited numbers. Dropping the Estrema models comes as a bit of a surprise, as these models were meant to bridge the gap between the base four-pots and the bonkers Quadrifoglio models. While these models were impressive, the asking price was perhaps a bit too steep compared to six-cylinder models like the BMW M340i and X3 M40i.

Every Giulia and Stelvio model benefits from new headlights similar to those found on the Tonale crossover, updated LED taillights, and a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. These upgrades are less extensive than those made to the BMW 3 Series and X3, but why mess with a beautiful design?
The Estrema has been replaced with the Competizione trim, which has a slightly more palatable price than the six-pot BMWs mentioned earlier. Alfa Romeo hasn't gone as extreme this time, as the Competizione is purely a styling exercise. It's available in a model-specific Moonlight Grey Matte exterior hue (other colors are available) with contrasting red brake calipers and Competizione badges. On the inside, the dashboard, seats, steering wheel, and shifter are covered in black leather with red contrast stitching.
The Giulia comes standard with 19-inch alloys, while the Stelvio Competizione has 21-inch dark wheels.

Also new this year is the addition of the 100th Anniversary special editions, celebrating the automaker's centenary, but those are all sold out already.
The base Giulia Sprint starts at $42,480, increasing to $45,020 for the Ti. The Veloce has an MSRP of $48,790, while the new Competizione is $53,270. The Quadrifoglio costs the same as last year, starting at $81,960. Adding all-wheel-drive to the four-cylinder models costs $2,000 extra.
The Stelvio Sprint (FWD, with AWD available for $2,000) costs $44,775. The Ti is $50,225, increasing to $52,185 for the Veloce. The Competizione is $57,575, while the Quadrifoglio is slightly cheaper than last year at $87,875.
The prices mentioned above don't include the $1,595 destination charge.
