Italian brand’s facelifted BMW X3 and 3 Series rivals to arrive next month with new look, more tech and more variants
The facelifted 2023 Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Giulia have been priced for Australia ahead of their arrival later this month and next respectively, with the SUV set to start from $76,450 plus on-road costs and the sedan range to open from $68,450 plus ORCs.
Those figures are for the new entry-level Ti variants and therefore mark a reduction in the entry prices of both model lines, given the 2022 Stelvio and Giulia range only comprised the Veloce and Quadrifoglio.
For the Stelvio, the introduction of the Ti variant brings a $3000 entry price reduction, but the now mid-range Veloce’s starting price has risen by $3500 to $82,950 plus ORCs.

It’s pretty much the same story for the Giulia, albeit with the entry price coming down by $3500 and the Veloce’s price increasing by $3000 to $74,950 plus ORCs.
Pricing for the facelifted Quadrifoglio twins will be announced closer to their local launches in the fourth quarter of this year.
New for 2023 and largely justifying the price increases – where relevant – is a new Tonale-inspired front-end design for both models featuring redesigned headlight clusters, a reshaped grille and matching bumpers, along with a generous bump in technology headlined by a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and Matrix LED headlights.
These upgrades apply to all variants within the respective models lines, but the Veloce twins easily score the best spec changes for the 2023 model year, with the once-optional Lusso Pack being made standard.

That means the new mid-range variants will come with a 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and a leather-upholstered dashboard, upper door trims and central armrest, plus a new anti-theft alarm with ‘hood protection’ and intrusion sensor.
Power for the non-Quadrifoglio variants comes courtesy of a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine carried over from the pre-facelift Veloce, which continues to dish out 206kW/400Nm via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Drive in Stelvio is channelled to all four wheels, while the Giulia remains rear-wheel drive.

No changes have been made to the chassis set-up of either model, which means drivers with a sportier disposition will be better off opting for the Veloce grade over the Ti on account of its standard limited-slip rear differential.
In a statement issued today, Alfa Romeo Australia said the facelift was a significant step in the history of the Stelvio and Giulia models, “evolving” two of the sportiest models in their respective segments.
“The Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio evolve in terms of style and technology, yet stay true to the brand’s DNA, an expression of noble Italian sportiness since 1910,” said Alfa.
