Royal Enfield has planned to launch an array of motorcycles in the Indian market in the coming years, and the all-new Himalayan 450 is the most highly anticipated motorcycle among them. While the adventure tourer has been spotted several times, recent spy shots have revealed new details about the upcoming Himalayan 450.
Upcoming new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: The instrument cluster
Going by the latest spy photos, the upcoming all-new Himalayan 450 could feature a large circular TFT colour display, which is not only different from the on-sale Himayalan but any other Royal Enfield motorcycle. If the adventure tourer gets a TFT colour display, Royal Enfield might bestow it with Bluetooth or smartphone connectivity with a wide range of features. It is not clear whether the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 would feature the Tripper navigation system as a separate unit.
Upcoming new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Platform and design
The Himalayan 450 will use a new platform, which Royal Enfield will also use to develop four other models, including a hard-core off-road oriented version of the Himalayan 450. In terms of design, the Himalayan 450 is likely to bear new bodywork, such as a larger and more angular fuel tank, metal frame, split seat setup or single-piece seat for touring, and slimmer exhaust, among others.

Royal Enfield is expected to offer an LED headlight, a rear mono-shock, LED indicators, switchable dual-channel ABS, improved brakes, upside-down (USD) front forks, spoke wheels, multiple riding modes, and a hazard light switch. However, it would be hard to say if the motorcycle will get ride-by-wire, slipper and assist clutch, and traction control.
Upcoming new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Engine
First time for Royal Enfield, the all-new Himalayan 450 will be powered by a liquid-cooled single-cylinder petrol engine. It could make north of 40PS and 45Nm 0f torque. This motor will come mated to a six-speed gearbox. Meanwhile, Royal Enfield is expected to unveil the new Himalayan 450 sometime later this year.
