TVS, an Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, is reportedly planning to unveil a new electric scooter, called the Creon, in Dubai on 23 August 2023. A viral teaser image states that mark your calender to witness an electric-flying launch that will defy the status quo in mobility, with the silhouette of the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest skyscraper, featured prominently.

The teaser showcases a vertically stacked ice-cube-shaped headlamp setup, identical to the headlight seen on the Creon concept displayed at the Auto Expo a few years ago. Speculation suggests that this upcoming electric scooter could be the production version of the Creon, which was presented as a concept at the 2018 Auto Expo. The Creon concept boasts a radical design with a futuristic and sporty style.
Currently, TVS sells only one e-scooter, the iQube, in the market. However, the iQube is the second best-selling electric scooter in the country, following the top-selling Ola S1. If TVS launches the Creon EV in India, it is likely to attract a larger customer base, particularly among young buyers.

Regarding the powertrain, when the Creon concept was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo, TVS positioned it as a performance-focused electric scooter concept, evident from its bodywork. Thus, the upcoming electric scooter may prioritise performance over range or strike a balance between the two.
