The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has been spotted testing again. With this, the new batch of spy shots has also revealed a few additional details. Although Royal Enfield has not disclosed an official launch date for the Himalayan 450 yet, the launch could be just around the corner as the recently spotted test mule appeared near-production-ready.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: New Details
As seen in the new pictures, the thick covers have partially covered Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, hinting that the test mule is hiding a production-ready bodywork. Despite that, a few parts are still visible in the spy shots. To begin with, the Himalayan 450 will feature a new round-shaped fully digital instrument console. Unlike the other Royal Enfield motorcycles, the Himalayan 450 misses out on tripper navigation setup, that means, the digital cluster could come with a built-in navigation function. The new digital cluster is also likely to get Bluetooth connectivity.
The Himalayan 450, On top of the new fully digital console, will benefit from the new switchgear reminiscent of the units on the Super Meteor 650, Meteor 350, 2023 Interceptor 650, 2023 Continental GT 650, and Hunter. However, the brand has redesigned the switches for the adventure bike. Further, expect the Himalayan 450 to come with all-LED lights, including indicators. Meanwhile, the spy shots also show a sturdy and slightly curved radiator guard to protect the radiator from flying debris.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Engine
The new spy photos have also given a close and clear look at the new engine of the Himalayan 450. The test mule gets a black-painted engine with Royal Enfield branding on the engine casing. Speaking of which, powering the Himalayan 450 is likely to be a new 450cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor mated to a six-speed gearbox. We expect this unit to produce north of 40PS and 45Nm of torque.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Features and Hardware
The bike maker is likely to offer the Himalayan 450 with various features and equipment, such as upside down forks, a rear mono shock, a single-disc setup at both ends, dual-channel ABS, assist and slipper clutch, ride-by-wire, traction control, and ride modes, among others.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Prices and Rivals
The all-new Himalayan 450 could come with a sticker price of Rs 2.50 lakh or above. Upon launch, it will take on the KTM 390 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure, and BMW G 310 GS.
