Royal Enfield’s most awaited Himalayan 450 has been spotted testing again. But this time, the ADV was spotted overseas without camouflage, unlike the heavily camouflaged test mules spied in India on multiple occasions. These latest spy pictures give a sneak peek of the near production-spec components of the Himalayan 450.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Design
The latest batch of spy photos offers the clearest look at the Himalayan 450 test mules. These photos also show production-ready avatar of the motorcycle, including the round LED headlight, the angular fuel tank frames with a slim horizontal panel, front upside-down forks guard, a reasonably long beak, a sculpted fuel tank, underbody bash plate, and small windscreen, which could be adjustable like other ADV motorcycles. While previous spy pictures have already revealed some details, the new spy pictures show the show how the Himalayan 450 would look in its production-ready avatar.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Features and Specs
We expect Royal Enfield to equip the upcoming Himalayan 450 with a host of features, such as a fully digital instrument console, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB charging port, traction control, riding modes, dual-channel and switchable ABS, slipper clutch, and all-LED lights, among others. It is not secret that the Himalayan 450 will use upside-down front forks and a monoshock at the rear, while there will be a single-disc brake setup at both ends.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Engine and gearbox
Powering the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is likely to be a 450cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine. The exact displacement will be known at unveil or launch. This motor could be mated to a six-speed gearbox. Notably, it is expected to generate around 40PS and 45Nm of torque.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Price and rivals
The all-new Himalayan 450 may cost over Rs 2.50 lakh. Like the Hunter, Meteor 350, and Super Meteor 650, Royal Enfield could offer it with two or three variants, including a touring variant, with different prices. Upon launch, the Himalayan 450 will take on the 2023 KTM 390 Adventure.
