British luxury SUV manufacturer Land Rover has launched the Discovery Metropolitan Edition in India. Prices for the Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition start at Rs 1,26,55,000 (ex-showroom) and bookings for the luxury SUV are now open.
Speaking about the new Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition, Rohit Suri, President and Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India, said: “Land Rover Discovery is perhaps the most versatile seven-seater SUV in the Indian market. The Metropolitan edition ups the value proposition for our customers with many upgrades, enhanced new age features & options as standard inclusions.”
Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition Specs
The Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition is offered with both petrol and diesel 3.0-litre straight-six Ingenium engines.
The Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition P360’s turbocharged 3.0-litre engine produces 355bhp between 5,500 and 6,500rpm and 500Nm of peak torque between 1,750 and 5,000rpm. The engine is paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox which sends power to all four wheels.
The Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition D300’s 3.0-litre turbodiesel cranks out 296bhp at 4,000rpm and 650Nm of peak torque between 1,500 and 2,500rpm. The engine sends power to all four wheels with the help of an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition Design & Features
The Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition is the top-of-the-line variant of the new British SUV. The Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition is based on the R-Dynamic HSE variant and features Bright Atlas detailing for the grille and Discovery script.
The Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition also features lower bumper inserts finished in Hakuba Silver, 20-inch Satin Dark Grey alloy wheels and black Land Rover brake callipers. Other external additions include a sliding front sunroof and a fixed rear panoramic roof.
Step inside the Discovery Metropolitan Edition and you’ll be greeted with a host of standard features. This standard kit includes a 12.3-inch driver’s display, wireless charging with phone signal booster, front cooler compartment, four-zone climate control and heated steering wheel.
Other standard features include heated and cooled rear seats, powered seat recline and Titanium Mesh trim detailing. The new Metropolitan Edition of the Land Rover Discovery also features Cabin Air Purification with PM2.5 air filtration which monitors air quality inside and filters out harmful particulates for a healthier interior environment.
