Is the Beijing X55 expensive to maintain?
The X55 comes with a 5-year/150 000km warranty and a 5-year/60 000km service plan, meaning that for most buyers, the only costs involved in the ownership process will be tyres and fuel since the aforementioned plans will cover any potential issues.
The base model Dynamic X55 comes with 225/60 R18 tyres, which, at the time of writing retailed at roughly R2 000 each, making the replacement of four tyres some R8 000. The Elite and Premium-spec models ride on 225/55 R19 tyres which retail for around R2 200 per tyre, making it R8 800 to replace all four.
