The new FIAT 500X 2022 has been unveiled to the public. For the new year, FIAT’s lone SUV debuts design changes. Despite these revisions, the RED special edition, along with the rest of the trim levels that make up the range, remains in the portfolio.
FIAT has added significant new features to its sole SUV lineup in order to better prepare for the year that has just begun. The new FIAT 500X 2022 has been unveiled, and it has a fresh look. Some changes are made immediately after the convertible body type is introduced.
What has changed in the Italian SUV? Just take a look at the photographs that accompany this post to see what changes have been made to the external appearance, particularly with regard to the emblem that appears on both the front and back. Let’s take a closer look.
The new FIAT 500X 2022 has been announced.
The complete 500X line now has a redesigned front end with the new “500” emblem, as well as a unique “FIAT” inscription on the back. These are two minor design tweaks that allow the 500X to adapt to the company’s new design language and, more importantly, to the new brand image.
The new 500X 2022 debuted in a Dolcevita body style with a canvas canopy, as well as a special RED version. FIAT has opted to preserve this extremely fascinating variant in its portfolio, despite these revisions, because it adds various visual aspects and special finishes to the interior. It also comes with regular features.
The special version of the Italian SUV comes with an air conditioning system with an air filter that has been treated with a biocidal material that is particularly efficient against germs, much like the rest of FIAT’s RED vehicles. A biocidal treatment is also applied to the steering wheel and seats, as well as the high-contact surfaces. A welcome package with a specifically designed dispenser and a customized key case must be added to this.
The FIAT 500X’s 2022 model range
In addition to the aforementioned special edition, the 500X will be available in the Cult, Club, Cross, and Sport trim levels in the coming months. The two body types available: Saloon and Dolcevita with soft top, must be added to this.
The Fiat 500X SUV, which was first introduced in 2014 and subsequently restyled in 2018, is still not ready to go. According to the Stellantis group’s rationale, it will not be replaced until the summer of 2023 by a second generation that will owe a lot to the Peugeot 2008.
In the meantime, the Italian manufacturer has developed a Fiat 500X model for the year 2022, which is already visible on the Internet without any camouflage. Even though the SUV has yet to be announced, the official introduction video already rolling on YouTube. It is expected to be presented before the end of January.
There will be no humour on the show this time, as there was last time when a Viagra tablet was unintentionally inserted into the petrol tank of a Fiat 500, resulting in the car being summarily transformed into a Fiat 500X. No, it’s simply a standard presentation video. For this last straight, the adjustments made are logically little.
This location allows us to easily see the difference that distinguishes a logo alteration rather than a second restyling. Indeed, the Fiat 500X separates itself from the rest of the Fiat lineup by incorporating the 500 family. The staging of the grille, which removes the Fiat insignia and chrome bar in favor of a logo “500” integrated directly into the soft nose, demonstrates this.
It’s a strategy and, more importantly, a design that’s nearly comparable to that of the electric Fiat 500, which was unveiled in March 2020.
In the spring, a new micro-hybrid engine will be released.
The 500 insignia may be found all around the SUV. It’s still embroidered on the tops of the special RED series seats, is still emphasized in the middle of the rims, and is still plainly visible on the chrome bar obstructing the tailgate in 2022.
The debut of classic Fiat letters instead of the customary emblem is the most noticeable innovation at the back. It’s a tiny change, but it does have the benefit of synchronizing the 500 series, which is becoming increasingly essential (and profitable!) for the company. Fiat will debut a new 1.5 micro-hybrid (48 V) engine with 130 horsepower and 160 hp under the hood, but not until spring 2022.
