The next generation Italian SUV has been spied on multiple occasions wearing intricate and beautiful looking livery but days ahead of its global launch a camo-free Grecale has been spotted testing in public.

Okay so it’s still wearing some vague form of vinyl covering to deviate the eyes away from too much of the overall form but the shots from Walter Vayr have now shown much more of the details ahead of its global unveiling on the 22nd of March.
While the wording which flanks each side of the SUV states “Ciao, I’m the #MaseratiGrecale” with “I can’t tell you much more” written below, we can. The new Grecale will reportedly receive a 3.0-liter V6 engine which is found in the MC20 which will be slightly detuned so as not to steal thunder from the seductive supercar. An alternative could possibly be the sonorous Alfa Romeo-sourced 2,9-litre V6 instead which powers the Stelvio SUV and Giulia saloon in Quadrifoglio trim.
The official reveal will happen on the 22nd of March.
More affordable derivatives of the Grecale are speculated to also employ the Alfa Romeo 2.0-liter four-cylinder which has an impressive 209 kW and 415 N.m. The near future will have the Grecale receive a full electric option although no specific details on this model are available at the moment.

The camo-free Grecale seems to possess many of the aesthetic details that were present on the Levante SUV with similar looking tail lights dominating the rear while a chrome window trim demonstrates its relation. The front end will be the most significant update with a bonnet-perched headlight design chosen over the traditional sharp form that integrates into the grille.
The new model is also wearing new rims which interpret the trident of Neptune in a concave 5-split spoke configuration. Conclusive information on the new SUV will be provided on the 22nd of March when it is officially unveiled.
