Rare Citroën GS Birotor for sale Rotary engine car should disappear completely
The Citroën GS Birotor has a rotary engine. Built for only two years, the manufacturer wanted to scrap all copies. One of the few survivors is now for sale.
Citroën built its middle-class GS model from 1970 to 1979. However, it was also available with a rare engine that only rolled off the assembly line for two years: from September 1973 to October 1975 the GS was available with a rotary engine. This special version was called Birotor, as indicated by a small lettering on the right-hand side of the rear. The twin-disc rotary engine was significantly more powerful than the standard four-cylinder boxer engine – and yet it had no future. One of the few surviving GS Birotor is now for sale.
