A winter-ready hypercar, so long as you plow a race track into the snow in advance.
Among other things, the Koenigsegg Jesko boasts the fastest-revving engine ever. That makes it an ideal hypercar, but it creates some concerns when you throw the car on snow. But Koenigsegg tests its cars in northern Sweden, and it snows in northern Sweden, so sometimes you have to make do with the conditions around you. In the company’s latest video, those conditions are a great opportunity.
The Easter-themed video opens up with an egg hunt before introducing the Jesko. Then, 90 straight seconds of a Koenigsegg on snow and ice. In a track carved out of that snow, a driver throws a Jesko test prototype through every corner pitched sideways enough to render the car’s massive, track-focused wing useless. It may not be what the car is designed to do, but the Jesko certainly seems up for the task.
The car doing this has some 1600 horsepower from twin-turbo V-8. That power is delivered to the rear wheels through a transmission with seven clutches and nine gears. A low downforce variant of the Jesko is capable of an estimated 330 mph, if the company can ever find the space to safely test out that theory. And, alongside all of that, it looks perfectly natural pitched sideways through a snowy corner.
If you live in the snow and have been waiting years for a hypercar to throw around, you better have ordered your car already. The Jesko has been sold out for over three years.
