KUALA LUMPUR: Volvo Car Malaysia and Volvo Malaysia has joined indoor family education and entertainment centre KidZania Kuala Lumpur as its latest partners to provide life learning skills.
The partnership sees a Volvo Car Malaysia “dealership” set up in KidZania Kuala Lumpur’s cityspace.

Children will not only have the opportunity to experience the profession of a car dealer and designer but also learn about the importance of being seated correctly and safely in a car.
Volvo Car Malaysia managing director Lennart Stegland said Volvo have been playing a leading role in child safety innovations since it developed the rearward facing childseat and introduced the child booster seat cushion.
“At Volvo, we are working towards building safer world for all road users of which is a big part of securing this future is by education
“We hope to educate the children about the importance of proper use of child car seats and they will in turn deliver the message to their parents with greater impact,” he said.

Meanwhile, Volvo Malaysia has provided a Volvo Exhibition Truck with a trailer outfitted to become a classroom to provide lessons on identifying blindspots and practice road etiquetter.
The company’s aim was to create awareness on road safety by simulating actual road conditions especially when facing large trucks.
The exhibition truck is expected to visit some 80 schools next year.

Volvo Malaysia managing director Mats Nilsson said the company has been actively carrying out road safety campaign over the year.
“Partnering KidZania will bring Volvo’s ‘Stop, Look and Wave’ safety initiative to a wider audience,” he said.
Themed Attractions Resorts and Hotels Sdn Bhd’s chief executive officer (integrated theme parks and attractions) William Edwards said the involvement of industry partners such as Volvo would make role-playing activities more authentic because of experts of their industry.
KidZania Kuala Lumpur has more than 100 profession related role-playing activities spread across 60 various city establishments that encourage children to practice adaptive and positive behaviour that will help to groom them to handle the demand and challenges of everyday life.
KidZania is also an official co-curricular partner to the Education Ministry.
