A fully electric SUV with and low and slick coupe styling, the Volvo C40 Recharge. Does it come in automatic though?
The Volvo C40 Recharge forms part of Volvo’s electric car offensive that’s rolling out in the next few years. My colleague Sean Nurse had the C40 Recharge on test, and you can watch his thoughts here.
An SUV but low and slick like a coupe is the first thing that hits you with the C40 Recharge. The front fascia shows off a new part of Volvo’s design language designated for their electric range. Inside, while minimalist, the C40 Recharge as you’d expect of Volvo, is expertly executed and with a human-centric but luxuriously designed interior complete with a jointly developed with Google infotainment system. It’s pretty safe too as you’d expect. It has some potent performance as well, but does it come in automatic?
Does the Volvo C40 Recharge come in Automatic?
Yes, and only in automatic. This is a fully electric vehicle. Spec-wise , we have twin electric motors, one in the front and one in the rear, powered by a 78kWh battery, giving a claimed range of around 420km. Considering the nature of electric vehicles, they’re not designed with a manual transmission in mind which isn’t conducive to one pedal driving which you can do in many electric vehicles. Never say never, though. If you’re keen on a C40 Recharge, you can search AutoTrader for the latest used and new offerings, and you can even sell your car here too.
